Transitional Facility Operator Virtual Training | Virtual Classroom

Description:

This virtual course outlines the role and responsibilities of a Transitional Facility Operator (TF-Operator) and the requirements of Standard for Transitional Facilities for General Uncleared Risk Goods (TFGEN). 

You must have:

- internet

- computer with camera and microphone

- unique email address

This virtual course takes place over 2 days with a 4 hour session on each day.

All Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) approved transitional facilities must have an approved TF-Operator who maintains overall responsibility for biosecurity activities at their site.

This course is only part of the process for approval as a MPI TF-Operator and attendees will need to complete the process required by MPI as outlined on their website.

You will receive a calendar invite from training@spsbiota.co.nz with a link to join the course online. We will also post to you any resources and pre-course assignments you will need. Please contact admin@btsouth.co.nz if you have not received these.

Please note: The Booking Calendar shows the first session's Time and Date. The second session will occur on the following day.

Pre-Course Assignment

This is a pre-requisite for attendance. This document will be provided upon course booking.

Documentation required

A physical copy of the resource book will be couriered to the attendee. The attendee must have this physical copy before the Virtual Classroom session.

Attendees will be required to upload a form of Photo ID as part of the course;
Driver's License
Passport (if you are not born in NZ)
Proof you can work in NZ (working Visa)

Attendee requirements

To attend this virtual course you must have:
- internet
- computer with camera and microphone
- unique email address

The Person who attends this course must have a basic understanding of both written and spoken English.

Certificate awarded and post-course requirements

A Certification of Training will be awarded on successful completion of this course.

On receipt of a Certificate of Training, attendees are then required to Submit an Application for Appointment as an Accredited Person to MPI.
